J. Marie Godwyll

PROFILE

Josephine Marie Godwyll (PhD) is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at the University of Alberta, Canada. Her research focuses on the connections between access to recreational environments (physical and digital) and the well-being of equity-denied groups.   Her role as founder entails setting the agenda and ensuring that programming is in coherence with the organization’s mission of creating accessible, engaging and affordable digital solutions for education. She is a Mandela Washington fellow and a member of the BRIDGIT - a global network of female tech entrepreneurs. She is a previous winner of the “Engineering Excellence Award” - Ghana Institute of Engineers and was a candidate for the 2020 Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation Award.
