#4 NEVER STOP QUESTIONING
“The art and science of asking questions is the source of all knowledge.”
-Thomas Berger

Some people say curiosity killed the cat. Thank God the children of Akaa are not “cats”!!! They would have died before the end of our weeklong stay in the community. Some of the children I met in Akaa are the most curious individuals I have ever come across.

As I have indicated in earlier posts , we spent our time in Akaa engaging in teaching and learning activities. For most of these children, it was their first time of seeing a computer. And they were very excited about it.

However, from my observation, I realised that some of them were timid and lacked the courage to ask questions. Others on the other hand were bold to seek clarity and gain a better understanding of the concepts being taught. Those who mustered courage to ask questions acted on their curiosity to know how the computer works and they benefitted from it. At least they expanded their knowledge in basic computing.

Like these children, we all may be in search of some answers at one point or another in our lives. Let us not be like those timid children who failed to ask questions but rather learn from the example of those who mustered courage to ask relevant questions when necessary.

The student who desires to achieve excellent results should have the courage to ask relevant questions when necessary. The business firm which want to know what new product to bring onto the market should ask questions. The Christian who desire  to grow
spiritually should ask questions. Policy makers should ask questions to know the right policies to formulate for citizens. Even Jesus asked His disciples questions when He wanted feedback in His ministry.(Mark 8:27-29)

The art and science of asking questions is the source of all knowledge. (Thomas Berger). Questions are very fundamental to the human experience. The right answers may not be immediately ascertained. Nevertheless, asking the right questions will certainly set you on the path leading to the answers you seek.
